My Best Planner is a personal planning app operated by Gather & Create LLC. If you choose to, you can receive text-message reminders for the appointments, to-do's, and reminders you create for yourself inside your own account.

SMS is completely optional. You can create and use a My Best Planner account without ever giving us a phone number.

Who sends the messages

Messages are sent by My Best Planner (Gather & Create LLC). We only text people who have signed up for an account, entered their own mobile number, checked the consent box, and confirmed a verification code sent to that number.

How you opt in

  1. Sign in to My Best Planner and open Settings.
  2. Find the "SMS reminders" section and turn on "Enable SMS reminders".
  3. Read the consent statement and tick the consent checkbox. The box is unchecked by default and is never pre-selected.
  4. Enter your mobile phone number and select "Send code".
  5. Enter the 6-digit verification code we text you. Your number is only marked as verified once that code is confirmed.
  6. Choose which reminder texts you want: at the scheduled time, an early warning, and/or a once-daily morning digest.

The exact consent wording shown next to the checkbox is: "I agree to receive planning reminders and account-related text messages from My Best Planner at the number I provide. Consent is not a condition of using the app. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help."

What kind of messages you'll get

  • A one-time 6-digit verification code when you add your number.
  • Reminder texts for reminders you created yourself in the app.
  • An optional once-daily morning summary of that day's reminders.

We do not send marketing, promotional, or third-party messages.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends entirely on how many reminders you create and which delivery options you turn on. Most people receive a small number of messages per week.

Cost

My Best Planner does not charge for text reminders. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.

How to stop messages (STOP)

Reply STOP to any message to stop all text messages from My Best Planner. You can also turn SMS reminders off at any time in Settings. Other keywords we honor include STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT. After you opt out you will receive one confirmation message and nothing further.

How to get help (HELP)

Reply HELP to any message for support information, or email melaniestrohecker@gmail.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy of your number

We do not share, sell, or rent your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in information, or messaging consent to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is processed by our telecommunications provider only as needed to deliver these messages. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
